Is there a big cultural difference between a Ukrainian girl and a Russian girl?

When I am in a chat room which is packed with Russians and Ukrainian girls, the Ukrainian ones always get me wrong when I send theme a friendly smile ))) they usually say that hey you are from America and we are from Ukraine.You are not my type and we can not get along.lol I am not trying to date or something.And the funny thing is when I try to explain what I am really up to, they block me so I can not sent them a message ))) lol isn’t it hilarious??????? On the other hand Russian girls are very friendly at least most of them and they have a sense of humor they thank me for the smile and they chat with me. So is it true that there is a huge cultural gap between the two nations even though both countries do speak the same language and have a very similar life style? Thanks.

Most Russian girls are very sociable and friendly, they like chatting and gossiping with friends. Russians also love foreigners and have no prejudice against them.
