For the past one week, everyone has been questioning about the age of Chinese female gymnasts. I wonder why no one mentioned this girl’s name. She is listed as 15 years old in the official site of the Olympics and she is presently ( real time ) competing in the uneven bar routine. So it seems under 16 years of age girlsb are allowed to compete afterall.

You are allowed to compete if you will be 16 by the end of 2008, not just by the time the Olympics take place.

The problem with the Chinese gymnasts are all the other documents that say some of the girls are as young as 13 and are “promising young stars” of the gymnastic community.. then all of a sudden they are 3 years older and able to compete at the 2008 Olympics.
